Short Bio:
Dr. Dionisios Linardatos has received a B.Sc. in Physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) (1990), a M.Sc. in "Electronics and Radioelectrology" (1993) and a second in "Electronic Automation" (1999) from the Departments of Physics and Informatics & Telecommunications of NKUA. In 2002 he received a Ph.D. from the Department of Informatics & Telecommunications of NKUA. His PhD thesis title is: "Nonlinear Techniques and Algorithms of Signal Processing – Application in Electroencephalogram".
His interests include medical informatics, bioinformatics, signal processing, policies in electronic communications and application of information and communication technology in shipping. He has also extended experience stemming from his participation in various research projects in medical informatics, electronic communications and signal processing. He has worked, among others, for the laboratories of Electroencephalography and Nystagmography of NKUA - Neurological Clinic - Aeginition Hospital, the National University Institute of Psychic Hygiene and the National Technical University of Athens.
Since he joined the National Telecommunications and Post Commission of Greece (EETT) in 2000, Dr. Linardatos has served in various key managerial positions including as the Head of the Department entrusted with the Supervision and Audit of the Greek telecommunications sector (2003-2007). During academic years 1995-2000, Dr. Linardatos worked as a researcher in the Department of Informatics & Telecommunications of NKUA and participated in teaching courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Since the academic year 2008-2009, he teaches the course of Biostatistics in the Postgraduate Program "Information Technologies in Medical Sciences and Biology" (Department of Informatics & Telecommunications of NKUA). Dr. Linardatos has published in scientific journals and has made presentations of the results of his research in international and national scientific conferences. Furthermore, he has been an invited speaker in Greece and abroad.
